Okay so this is a quick update on whats going on here and why I've not written in the last week or so.
Since Tuesday I've had a client that has asked me to create something for them. I'm not going into what it is or why but I will say that is isn't a small model. This is why I didn't post anything on Thursday in a blog; there was nothing to write about except the client work and I don't do that.
I did do a little work on Monday that I can share now though. Its nothing special but progress is progress I suppose.
So last time I wrote I mentioned that I was working on a BB-8 character model and that I was having a little difficulty with controlling the movement of the bottom sphere. Well I'm still having bother with it. I continued to try to use an armature to control the spheres roll but it still doesn't seem to work. I also tried to use the rigid body physics to get the ball to roll to which it does by itself but doesn't really work when being controlled. So I'm still at square one on this one. I think I'll resort to Google if I can't come up with a way to do it soon.
So in my last Weekend Challenge I did I made Darth Vaders helmet and I might have mentioned that I was maybe going to make the rest of him. Well this morning I started out making the upper body. And by started I mean just block out the different areas and such.
I did plan to continue this as part of a series as Weekend Challenges but I'm not entirely sure I'm going to continue making those. I skipped last weeks as I needed a little break from it all and I'm not doing one this weekend because I was exhausted yesterday from working so long on the clients project the previous day.
I don't know when I'll get some more time to work on this but when I do I'll post it here.
I'm going to go workout now or something. If you like my work you can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Deviant Art for all of my updates or to see some of the things I've done in the past.
