This weeks events included revisiting my Kitchen model I made back in November and continuing work on the interior I have been building over the last few months.
The Kitchen Revisit
So on Monday my mother asked me alter my 3D model of our kitchen to show the possible alterations that may have to be implemented to it later this year. The main alterations include adding in another work surface, moving our washing machine and dryer into the kitchen, and removal of our fridge freezer in favour of under the worktop versions.
Before I could get to work, I had to alter my existing model so it contrasted with the actual sizes of the real kitchen. When I first made the model back in November, I made everything as I saw them without taking any, and I do mean any, measurements. It turns out that in total, I was out by about a meter in every direction except upwards.
Continuing to build the Interior
This week I have also been continuing to build the interior of the ship that I have been working on. I am deliberately not showing a lot of what has been done so it remains a mystery. I'm not even going to explain what's in the picture above, just know that isn't finished and that if this project ever gets finished, you will then understand what it is.
In other news
I am considering a career in the armed forces and so I've been looking into the fitness level you need to enter. I can say without bragging that I am physically fit these days but I was unsure I was fit enough to enter. I decided to try the running test on Monday which was to run a mile and a half in less that 11 minutes 15 seconds. I normally run about 5 miles 3 times a week so I knew the distance wouldn't be a problem but what I had forgotten is that on my last run I had hurt my foot (it only hurts when I run so its easy to forget). SO yeah I did the run but as a much slower pace than usual. I also gave up on trying to beat the time and did my usual 5 miles which I am regretting now.
I am now taking a week off from running all together. You would think I would be happy about that but I'm actually a little pissed. I'm still doing my other physical activities though so its not an entire week off.
