So this week I finished my design for a Lightshield that could be used in the Star Wars universe. I even came up with a story that it could be used in but thats a story that probably won't happen and is kinda irrelevant here.
Not much of the model has changed from last week. I basically created the material shaders and added some screws. I also made sure the device could open properly to fit a forearm in.
The hardest part of this project was to design the shield shape. I drew up a fair few designs on paper and chose a few to create in 3D. I would show all of them but it appears I may have deleted the models save one.
The design I decided to keep is a minimalist design. It consists of 4 pasts that all met at the centre connecting to the arm support. Although the shield is fairly big, it wouldn't cover the whole body (unless you're short like Yoda). This is to make it so it could be swung around without taking off you're head although like the lightsaber, if you're not careful you still could.
