Hello & Welcome to this weeks edition of the Weekly Round-Up. The blog that details what I do week to week. This week I started to make a new Joker model to replace the one I made in a weekend challenge a while back. As usual, at the end I'll put a personal touch section detailing some of the things I've done this week not work related.
This week I decided to try and do a better version of the Joker I made a week or so ago in the Weekend Challenge. I've started with the face and I plan to work my way down including the suit, gloves and shoes. I'll probably end up rigging him so I can pose and animate later if I choose to.
I started by making a brand new normal face to act as a base and then distorting it into a creepy'ish smile and applying some make-up textures. I tried to sculpt the head so I could create some creases and crinkles but I could not, for some reason, bake them to be used on the final face. For now, I've painted on some wrinkles and added some extra highlights to give the skin more of an uneven look.
I'll show some more of this as I make some more progress in the coming weeks.
This week I decided to go back and play Arkham City and actually do all the side missions and the 440 Riddler challenges. Seriously, I thought Knight had a lot with over 200 but City takes the piss with how many there are. It's difficult not to cross a street in the game without coming across another riddle or trophies. I'll get there in the end. Maybe.
More importantly, I met up with a old friend yesterday up in Glasgow which is why I didn't get any work done. Was great catching up with him, hadn't seen him in about 2 years so had a few things to catch up on. By the time I got back from Glasgow it was like 7:30 and I was tired and hungry so I just got dinner and watched a movie.
