This weeks events include; making a Halo Warthog, drawing up designs for the Elite, trying out a new design for the robots head.
Wednesday morning I decided to try my hand at creating the infamous Halo Warthog or as any RVB fan knows it, The Puma. I'm actually surprised how much I got done in a single day as that's the time I spent n it, a day. There a several key things missing however such as the steering wheel, back bumper, several lights, and hull detailing.
As just about any Halo fan could point out, the Turret that is meant to go on the back of the Warthog is missing. This is deliberate as I have not decided which form of Warthog this is just yet. I may even leave it turret less as there was a Warthog variation that had no Turret mentioned in the book "Halo: the Fall of Reach".
I've started to sketch out armour designs for the Elite I have been making in my Weekend Challenges. I thought about using one the designs shown in the franchise but I fell that lacks originality. To this end I'm making my very own armour variant.
My variant wont be Electronic based but rather closer to Arbiters armour made out of sheets of metal. I may also make a electronic variant later on but don't hold your breath on the possibility.
On Monday while clearing out an old box full of bits & bobs, I came across this odd looking nut thing and thought "hey, this looks like a tinny robot head". Long story short, I attempted to replicate this strange nut as the head of my Robot.
I even tried to replicate the 2 screws the nut has as the eyes of the robot. I'm not sure about the outcome of this experiment. I do need 2 robots so maybe I should use both head or maybe I should scrap them both and try again.
