This weeks events include attending a seminar on Marketing, finishing up my business plan, and continuing to model the interior of my mystery set.
So on Tuesday I attended a seminar held at Business Gateway that dealt with basic marketing knowledge. Since I never did a marketing either at school or university, this seemed like a good opportunity to get some knowledge of the subject before setting up this business officially.
The main point the seminar tried to hit home was the importance of doing market research before setting up the business so you know the general direction you have to go in. Without the research you would be flying blind and would not stand much a chance of surviving as a business for long. This is why I have been stuck in trying to find out as much as I can about the business side of the industry that I am trying to compete in.
Finishing Up the Business Plan
I'm nearly finished writing the business plan for Adaptive Pixel! YAY!!
I'm currently writing up the finance section which deals with all the costs that running a business would involve. I have already made an appointment with an advisor at business Gateway to look over the plan next Tuesday to point out any errors and to help me make improvements to it. Once this is done, I'll have to registrar for Self Assessment with HMRC and then I should be ready to start operating offically. At that time, I will get a more official domain name (loosing the weebly part) and will be adding a few alterations to the site like adding in the T&C's page and any legal info. I will make a redirect so the old domain will bring you to the new site but if anyone has any bookmarks, they may need to be changed.
Mystery Interior Modelling
With all the paperwork going on this week, I haven't had much time to do any actual 3D modelling. I have made a little progress with the interior I have been making recently. Mainly adding some details to the pod I made a week or so ago and adding a texture to the floor of the interior. Slow progress is better than no progress at all.
Hi, I'm Claude, head & creator of Adaptive Pixel. You might be wondering what brought you here and I'm here to tell you, it was a link. Here is where I will be posting what I'm currently doing and challenges I've done.
