So this weeks weekend challenge focused on doing more of the modelling of the bedroom scene. The objects that were modelled this week are and Xbox 360 (old edition), Pill bottles, Desk lamp, trays, a clock, a blue box, extra cables, a chest of drawers, side table, a mirror, side-board (that goes round the bottom of the room), wardrobe, DVD boxes, adding the carpet details, and adding some of the other rooms in the house to be seen through the doorway.
It sounds a lot but its not really. Most of the modelling effort was put into creating the front of the Xbox as each of the slots had to be carved into the rounded body. I did not however add all the holes that act as vents on the console due to 2 reasons. 1, there wont be any close-up shots of it and 2, it would take a fair bit of time to model them. What's left to be done on the Xbox is to create the name and brand textures and then apply them.
The trays and supplement bottles are duplicates from the ones on the other side of the room. The different colours were assigned using the random factor in the node set up with a colour ramp to convert the numerical value into a colour. This same trick was used for the DVD's on the middle shelf as it is just 1 DVD case copied multiple times. Further adjustments will be made to the boxes and materials next week to amek them more realistic.
