This weeks weekend challenge marks the end of the series in modelling the Kitchen. Originally this weeks was just going to be more modelling of the appliances but I got most of that done by Saturday night and so, I went ahead and did some basic compositing on Sunday.
See part 1 here and part 2 here.
There is always more that could be added to the kitchen but I had to draw a line so it didn't become over crowded. It is a small kitchen after all. The main appliances added this time were the kettle and grill but I also added a cookie jar, mugs, glass board, a ladle salt n' pepper shakers, tongs, wooden stiller, measuring spoon, and a spatula.
I also turned back on the atmosphere lights and turned down the main room lights as to make it seem like it is during the day. Other improvements included adding in the power sockets as well as the main switch for the cooker and moving the right side over by 10cm so it is closer to the original in size. I also made the grill bigger than the one I have because you can never grill enough. I also got rid of the two green jars we have and replaced them with one big one. The two jars are used for storing tea bags and sugar. As I don't drink tea or use sugar often, I would keep them in a cupboard and use one big jar for cookies as I love cookies.
Compositing was used to give the shiny objects a little extra shine and to give the room a slight glare on the over exposed areas.
I haven't chosen what to do for next weeks challenge but I think it will include sculpting as I haven't done much of that before.
