This weeks challenge is a 2 parter Xmas themed challenge as its now the run up to Christmas. Why 2 parts? Because thats how many weekends there are before Blender Gurus Christmas Competition ends. I'm not entering it but I do want something done for it.
That may not make sense but who said I have to?!
Anyway I spent most of the time trying to make the head, hair, and hat. The rest was done rather quickly. I went through about 4 different variants of the head. I tried modelling, sculpting, basing it off photos. They all didn't seem to work until you know, it did.
I have a lot of work to do next week. I have to make the upper body of Santa, texture Santa's face, texture the table, finish the balance, texture the doll, build the background, build the lighting system, render it, composite it, and then write the blog.
If I do all of that I will be very surprised. And probably exhausted.
Tune in next week to find out how it all turns out.
Until then, why not take a look around this site. Its needs a bit of an update in parts but who knows, maybe you'll find something you like. If you want, you can follow me on Art Station, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Deviant Art for all of my updates or to see some of the other things I've done in the past.
In addition to Weekend Challenges, I do weekly blogs called the Weekly Round-Up that are posted every Thursday in which you can see what I do throughout the week
